General Manager, Chevron Pasadena Refinery

Tim Sutherland is the General Manager of the Chevron Pasadena Refinery. He began this role in May 2019, charged with responsibility for safe and reliable operations of the facility.  Tim was a member of the purchase team and served as the integration – transition manager for the purchase.

Sutherland joined Chevron in 1991 as a Machinery Engineer and since then has held numerous positions of increasing responsibility at the company’s refineries in Richmond, Salt Lake, Pascagoula and El Segundo.

Sutherland is a native of Sacramento, California, and received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Davis.

Tim has been married for many years. He and his wife have an adult son. They enjoy getting together as a family for various outdoor activities such as hiking, snow skiing and hunting.
